We have defined, communicated, and implemented processes to ensure that shipped products meet our product specifications and service expectations. We actively uphold our quality management system, continually reviewing our quality objectives.
Safe Feed Safe Food Certified
As a producer of animal feed, GLC is required to comply with the Food Safety Modernization Act, a federal regulation. Our products are certified by the Safe Feed/Safe Food program from the American Feed Industry Association. Our FSC36 certification means we meet or exceed the accepted standards for food safety. We are proud to say we are a SFSF Certified Facility, and we live by the promise to “do no harm to animals who ingest our minerals.”
ISO 9001:2015 Certified
ISO 9001:2015 is a globally-recognized standard for quality. While the SFSF certification and quality assurance procedures focus on feed product quality, our ISO certification illustrates our company-wide commitment to product quality, equipment maintenance, record keeping, and customer service.
Product Testing
From raw materials to the finished blends, we are constantly running tests to ensure product quality.
Particle Size Distribution
Per our certificates and quality policies, our mineral products undergo ongoing testing for particle size distribution to ensure the consistency and quality of each product.
Chemistry
Samples from each incoming shipment of minerals are sent to certified 3rd party labs for chemical analysis, including heavy metals, acid insolubility and decrepitation when applicable.
Blends
Feed blend products are made to order to meet the nutritional requirements of each farm. Since each blend is unique, individual mix sheets are created to ensure the blend is formulated as ordered. Regularly, products are tested to ensure quality and blending consistency.
